CIVILTEST PTY LTD as the name suggests, provides geotechnical testing services for civil engineering projects in the way of on site and laboratory soil and concrete testing through its NATA accredited laboratories at MORNINGTON, MITCHAM and COLAC and MILDURA in conjunction with a visiting office at WONTHAGGI .

The origins of CIVILTEST PTY LTD stem from the Shire of Flinders Materials Testing Laboratory which was established in 1975 and operated by the now director of CIVILTEST PTY LTD, Mr Steven Buffinton as a business unit of the Shire of Flinders. CIVILTEST PTY LTD has been trading in its own right since 1987 after incorporation, having severed all financial and management ties with the then Shire of Flinders.

Despite massive growth since 1987, the principals at Civiltest have retained a ‘hands on’ approach, still dealing with the day to day activities of running a geotechnical consultancy, not only carrying out some of the physical testing but also liaising with many of the company’s key clients.
